How the 2020 compares with nearby years
Against the 2019 Sierra 1500: The wiper blade lengths, oil filter and cabin air filter are the same in both manuals.
Against the 2021 Sierra 1500: The wiper blade lengths, oil filter and cabin air filter are the same in both manuals.
The 2020 Sierra 1500 belongs to the 5th gen (T1XX), which began with the 2019 model year (MY2022 refresh: new front end, revised interior; next gen unveiled June 2026, sales late 2026 (expected MY2027)); generation dates. Parts often carry over within a generation, but the manual for your exact model year is the one to trust.
What the manual does not print
The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 owner's manual does not list bulbs, battery and oil sizes; for the battery, read the label on the battery fitted to the car, then check the size against the BCI group chart; many lamps on this model are LED assemblies that are replaced as a unit by a dealer.
Buying the parts for a 2020 Sierra 1500
- Wipers: ask for a 22-inch driver blade and a 22-inch passenger blade. The manual's 550 mm is 21.7 inches exactly; blade boxes round to the 25 mm trade step. Check that the new blade's connector matches the arm on the Sierra 1500.
- Filters: the part numbers above are the maker's own brands; aftermarket boxes list cross-references to them, so quote the number (oil filter PF66) when you shop.

Trim, engine and lighting package change some of these parts, so match the row that names your engine or trim. The facts on this page come from 2 pages of the manual (456, 457). Before you buy, compare the number printed on the old part with the table above. See how this site reads manuals.
